Knowing the truth won't help anyone unless he/she accepts it.
Iblees is a classical example of someone knowing yet rejecting.
Abu Taalib another example.

ئاشنابوون بە حەق بە فریا هیچ کەسێك ناکەوێت، ئەگەر قبوڵی نەکات، ئیبلیس بۆ خۆی نموونەی کەسێكە کە بە حەق ئاشنا بووە، بەڵام قبوڵی نەکردووە..

When man deviates from....

"هەر ئینحراف‌و گومڕاییەك لە ڕێگەی بەندایەتی ڕوو ئەدا، لەبەرئەوەیە ئینسان ئیمانی بە ئاخیرەت‌و ڕۆژی جەزا نییە، چونکە ئەگەر ئینسان هەمیشە لەبیری بێ کە دادگایەك هەیەو موحاسەبەیەك هەیەو بەهەشت‌و جەهەننەمێك هەن‌و، دڵی دامەزراو بێ لەسەر ئەمەو تەسلیمی ئەوە بووبێ، ئیتر دوای ئەوە چۆن گوناهکاری‌و نافەرمانی خودا ئەکاتە کارو پیشەی خۆی‌و غافڵ ئەبێ‌و دوور ئەبێ لە ئیحساسی مەسئولیەت‌و وەزیفەی ژیانی خۆی؟!"

"When man deviates from the Islamic way of life (The Proper Path), It is due to lack of belief in the Hereafter and the Judgement Day in his heart, Cause if man constantly reflects upon the Day of Reckoning, Paradise and the Hell-fire, In other words, if his heart is totally filled with these reflections and feelings, then he would not be engrossed in sins and disobedience to Allah. That is to say that he would not be heedless of Allah's Remembrance and he would have a strong sense of responsibility concerning his duties in life."

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Man's feet will not move on the Day of Resurrection before he is asked about his life, how did he consume it, his knowledge, what did he do with it, his wealth, how did he earn it and how did he dispose of it, and about his body, how did he wear it out."
[At-Tirmidhi].

پێغەمبەر(د.خ) فەرموویەتی: لەڕۆژی ڕابوونەوەدا، دووپێی هیچ بەندەیەك لە جێی‌خۆی ناجوڵێ، تاوەکو لێپرسینەوەی لەگەڵدا نەکرێت لەسەر:
تەمەنی کە لەچیدا بەسەری بردووە، وە زانستەکەی کە چی پێ‌کردووە، وە ماڵ‌و سامانەکەی کە چۆن وەدەستی‌هێناوەو لە چیدا سەرفی کردووە، هەروەها جەستەی کە لە چیدا ماندوو کردووە

وعن أبي برزة -براء ثم زاى- نضلة بن عبيد الأسلمى، رضي الله عنه، قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ ‏ "‏لا تزول قدما عبد يوم القيامة حتى يسأل عن عمره فيما أفناه ، وعن علمه فيما فعل فيه، وعن ماله من أين اكتسبه، وفيما أنفقه، وعن جسمه فيم أبلاه‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه الترمذي وقاال‏:‏ حديث حسن صحيح‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
